A protest over lease and wages turned violent Thursday when California Freeway Patrol officers tried to take away demonstrators from a state workplace constructing in downtown Los Angeles.

The chaos ensued as organizers and supporters of the Alliance for Californians for Group Empowerment (ACCE) rallied in entrance of the Ronald Reagan State Constructing on South Spring Road.

The group is looking on Gov. Gavin Newsom to signal Senate Invoice 567, which might make it harder for landlords to evict tenants.

Video recorded by a KTLA photojournalist reveals a CHP officer escorting a demonstrator from the foyer of the constructing and trying to shut the entrance doorways behind him.

When one other protestor, a person in a yellow shirt, tries to carry one of many doorways open, the deputy shoves him and so they each ultimately fall to the bottom.

Video reveals the officer pulling out his service weapon whereas greedy his left knee after struggling an obvious harm. One other officer helps him to his toes, and each disappear into the constructing.
